Jindal Stainless supplies JBM Auto for e-bus production
Jindal Stainless (JSL) will supply Indian electric bus manufacturer JBM Auto with JT Tubes for production of over 500 lightweight electric buses, Kallanish notes. The product is made from low-carbon and chromium-manganese austenitic stainless steel.
The material is denoted as N7 under the Bureau of Indian Standards specification, 6911. It has treble the strength of carbon steel, the material which is currently used to make buses.
