JSPL commissions rooftop solar plant at Angul
Indian steelmaker Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) has commissioned a rooftop solar plant to generate renewable energy for its operations and reduce emissions.
The newly commissioned plant is located at JSPL’s Angul steel manufacturing unit in Odisha and will help reduce the unit’s carbon dioxide emissions by 18,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. The move is part of JSPL’s focus on sustainability and net zero emissions.
