JSPL profit surges amid lower costs, reduced shipments

Indian steelmaker Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) reports its consolidated profit after tax surged by 272% on-year to INR 19.28 billion ($232.35 million) in its third fiscal quarter ended December (FQ3).
