Jinxi Steel starts new BF construction
Hebei Jinxi Iron & Steel has started to construct its new 2,000-cubic meter blast furnace, supplied by Sinosteel MECC, Kallanish notes.
The project is for replacing excess capacity. It needs to demolish all blast furnaces below 550 cubic meters and converters below 50 tonnes. It plans to build two 2,000 m3 blast furnaces and two 150-t converters (see Kallanish passim).
