JSL cuts emissions, pledges SBTi net-zero targets
Indian stainless steel manufacturer, Jindal Stainless (JSL) has cut its carbon emissions by 2.4 lakh tonnes (240,000 tonnes) between the fiscal years ending on March 2023 (FY 2022-23), and March 2024 (FY 2023-24), notes Kallanish. The company has also pledged its commitment to achieving climate science backed near-term carbon emission reduction and net-zero targets under the global climate body, Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
