JSPL posts record output, sales in September quarter
Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL)’s steel production soared 96% on-quarter to 3.94 million tonnes in the fiscal quarter ended 30 September, against 2.01mt a quarter earlier. On the back of strong exports, the company’s sales grew 32% to 3.74mt.
Exports’ share grew to 40% of total sales in the September quarter against 34% in the June quarter, Kallanish notes.
JSPL’s steel production and sales in September were 1.93mt and 2.13mt, respectively. …
