JSPL reports strong sales growth in June quarter
Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) reported an on-year 17% rise in steel production and 16% growth in sales in the first fiscal quarter through June to 1.57 million tonnes and 1.51mt respectively, Kallanish learns from the Indian steelmaker.
Last week the firm claimed its Angul blast furnace produced a daily record 10,845 tonnes of hot metal on 2 July, the highest output rate of any BF in India (see Kallanish passim).
