JSW Italy rail contract sparks controversy
Italian railway company Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) has awarded a huge, €922 million ($1.01 billion) rail order to JSW Steel Italy. Trade unions have however expressed their concern regarding the origin of the supply which may not entirely be produced at JSW’s Piombino plant. The contract does not require the company to produce the rails in Italy.
