JSW posts rise in February crude steel production
JSW Steel’s standalone crude steel output grew 10% on-year to 1.73 million tonnes in February, against 1.58mt a year earlier. The production, however, dropped 8.46% on-month against 1.89mt produced in January.
The firm’s flat-rolled steel production rose 9% to 1.26mt, against 1.15mt last year. Long steel production increased 2% to 375,000t, against 367,000t in the corresponding period, Kallanish notes.
