JSW's September-quarter production falls on limited demand, exports
JSW Steel’s India-based crude steel production grew 14% on-year to 5.6 million tonnes in the September quarter, against 4.92mt a year earlier. Standalone production – excluding Indian subsidiaries – grew 36% to 5.57mt, Kallanish notes.
Standalone production, however, fell 1% on-quarter against 5.62mt produced in the June quarter, and Indian operations’ output dropped 2% against 5.72mt.
