JSW steel production increases on hiked capacity utilisation
JSW Steel’s Indian operations, including joint control, crude steel production grew 19% on-year to 6.16 million tonnes in the December quarter, against 5.19mt a year earlier. Standalone production – excluding Indian subsidiaries – grew 20% to 6.06mt, Kallanish notes.
Standalone production increased 9% on-quarter against 5.57mt produced in the September quarter, and Indian operations’ output grew 10% against 5.6mt.
