Kardemir secures rebar volumes, struggles to sell rod
Kardemir published a new price list and opened sales for rebar and wire rod on Thursday, Kallanish notes.
Rebar in diameters of 12-32mm and 36-40mm was each increased by TRY 285/tonne ($10.4/t) to TRY 15,950/t and TRY 16,040/t, respectively, versus Kardemir’s previous list on 13 September.
Prices for 5.5-56mm diameter wire rod have been decreased by $10/t to $575-615/t, from Kardemir's previous list on 29 August.
