Kardemir lifts domestic rebar prices
Turkey's Kardemir has re-opened its domestic rebar sales with a TRY 127/tonne ($29.5/t) hike in prices, following the continuing depreciation of the Turkish lira, notes Kallanish. Billet sales remain closed.
The integrated long steelmaker's 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar is quoted at TRY 2,433/t and TRY 2,450t respectively, with effect from 9 May. Kardemir's prices are ex-works and exclude VAT.
