Kardemir published a new price list and opened domestic sales for billet on Wednesday, Kallanish notes.
150mm square billet was increased by $5/tonne from the previous list issued on 23 February to $670-675/t. Prices quoted are ex-works and exclude 18% VAT.
Although the market did not expect Kardemir to sell a remarkable tonnage amid competitive offers from the CIS, the Turkish steelmaker sold around 30,000t of billet and closed sales in the afternoon. …
