Kardemir posts lower profit despite revenue growth
Kardemir increased revenue by 30% on-year in the first half of 2023 to TRY 16.7 billion ($618.8 million). Despite this improvement, however, the Turkish steelmaker’s net profit was slashed to TRY 1.71 billion compared to a profit of TRY 2.76 billion a year earlier.
Ebitda declined 16.9% to TRY 2.66 billion, Kallanish notes.
