Kazakhstan ramps up steel output in 2023
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers decreased crude steel production in December compared to the previous month, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 354,788 tonnes, up 13.6% on-month and 58.2% more on-year, Kallanish notes.
In 2023, Kazakhstan’s steel production increased by 16.4% on-year to 3.92 million tonnes.
