Kobe Steel hikes stake in Kobelco Millcon Steel
Japan’s Kobe Steel has acquired the 25% stake that Millcon Steel held in Kobelco Millcon Steel Co. (KMS), according to the share transfer agreement reached on 14 November, Kallanish learns from Kobe Steel.
KMS was established by Kobe and Millcon Steel as a 50-50 joint venture in Thailand in 2016. As a result of the equity transfer, Kobe Steel now controls 75% of KMS and incorporates KMS into its consolidated reporting.
