Kungang hot tests converter at relocated headquarters
China’s Kunming Iron & Steel (Kungang) has begun the official hot test of a converter at the relocated Caopu steelworks, Kallanish notes.
The new steelmaking plant housing two 120-tonne converters will reach molten steel capacity of 2.342 million tonnes/year, says project construction contractor CISDI.
