China's Laigang begins construction of new blast furnace
Laiwu Iron & Steel (Laigang), part of Shandong Iron & Steel (Shangang), began the construction of a 3,800-cubic-metre blast furnace in the middle of September. The company held the opening ceremony in the Gangcheng district of Jinan city, Kallanish notes.
