LatAm April crude steel production declines: Alacero
Latin America saw crude steel production fall both sequentially and year-on-year in April, Kallanish learns from the regional steelmakers’ association Alacero.
Regional crude steel production reached 5.18 million tonnes in April, down 4.1% on March’s volume of 5.40mt and 4.7% less on-year. Of this volume, 2.71mt were produced through the blast furnace route and 2.47mt by electric arc furnaces.
