LatAm crude steel production declines in June: Alacero
Latin America saw crude steel production fall both sequentially and year-on-year in June, Kallanish learns from regional steelmakers’ association Alacero.
Regional crude steel production reached 5.31 million tonnes, down 2.6% on May’s volume of 5.46mt and 4.2% less on-year. Of this volume, 2.68mt were produced through the blast furnace route and 2.63mt by electric arc furnaces.
