LatAm crude steel production improves on-month: worldsteel
South American and Mexican crude steel production rose month-on-month but was weaker year-on-year in October, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.43 million tonnes in October, up 108,000t m-o-m but 8.7% less compared with 3.75mt in the same period in 2022. Ten-month crude steel production amounted to 34.2mt, a decline of 6.7% compared with January-Octobert 2022.
