LatAm production falls, consumption rises

Latin America saw crude steel production fall sequentially and on-year in December, says regional steelmakers’ association Alacero. 12-month output, however, remained higher over 2020, Kallanish notes. Regional crude steel production reached 4.96 million tonnes in the month, 8.7% less than November’s volume of 5.43mt and down 7.3% on-year.
