LatAm finished steel output rises sequentially in July
Latin America finished steel production rose month-on-month but was down on-year in July, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero.
Finished steel output reached 4.68 million tonnes in the period, just 1.2% more over June. This volume, however, was 4% weaker on-year. Long steel accounted for 2.36mt of output, while flat steel and seamless tube were 2.18mt and 134,700t, respectively.
