LatAm July crude steel production remains weak: Alacero
Latin America saw crude steel production fall both sequentially and year-on-year in July, Kallanish learns from regional steelmakers’ association Alacero.
Regional crude steel production reached 5.22 million tonnes, down 2.6% on June’s volume of 5.33mt and 5.3% less on-year. Of this volume, 2.68mt were produced through the electric arc furnace route and 2.54mt by blast-basic oxygen furnaces.
