LatAm October crude steel production decreases sequentially
Latin American crude steel production fell sequentially in October, says regional steelmakers’ association Alacero. Output, however, remained strong over the first ten months, Kallanish notes.
Regional crude steel production reached 5.33 million tonnes in October, 3.6% less than September’s volume of 5.53mt but up 3.8% on-year. From this volume, 2.72mt were produced through the blast furnace route and 2.61mt by EAFs.
