Latin America finished steel trade deficit narrows
Latin America's steel trade deficit narrowed in September to 1.77 million tonnes. This was almost 3.2% smaller than in August but wider by 45.4% year-on-year, Kallanish gleans from monthly data provided by the steel producers association Alacero. The nine-month deficit was 14.5mt, which is a 39.9% expansion compared with 10.4mt in the same period a year earlier.
