Latin America’s February finished steel output falls
Latin America finished steel production fell month-on-month in February but was slightly up on a year earlier, Kallanish learns from regional steel producers' association Alacero.
Finished steel output reached 4.22 million tonnes in February. This was 7.9% less than in January but 0.4% more on-year. Long steel accounted for 50.2% or 2.12mt of output, while flat steel and seamless tube were 1.98mt and 120,800t, respectively.
