Latvian steelmaker blames government for creating 'insolvency conditions'
Latvian steelmaker KVV Liepajas Metalurgs (KVVLM) has accused the government of “…artificially” creating conditions that foster the company’s insolvency.
Negotiations since autumn 2015 with authorities on potential financial assistance to the troubled steelmaker have not brought about a result. Last month output was suspended after the mill could not obtain discounted electricity from the government.
