Lisco local sales surge, exports slump in 2020
Libyan Iron & Steel Company (Lisco) saw domestic sales surge 23% on-year in 2020 to 742,713 tonnes, Kallanish learns from the company. Rebar and hot rolled coil sales rose 10% and 69% respectively to 518,298t and 122,402t.
The Misurata-based firm also sold 30,681t of billet domestically, up 47% on-year, and 9,661t of hot-briquetted iron versus zero in 2019.
