Libyan Iron and Steel Company (Lisco) is preparing to ship 17,500 tonnes and 12,000t of rebar this week to Albania and Lebanon, respectively. This is part of its target to exceed 100,000t of export shipments in 2023.
The rebar (BS500 grade) bound for Lebanon consists of 8, 12 and 14mm diameters, while 14 and 16mm dia are heading to Albania, Kallanish learns from an insider.
