LME aims at better nickel inventory policy: Mauss
The London Metal Exchange (LME) is currently reconsidering the warehouse reform it introduced in 2016, according to Roland Mauss, finance chief of stainless scrap merchant Oryx.
The available volume of nickel in the world is difficult to assess, partly because a large share has apparently left official LME warehouses to other sites. According to Mauss, the LME concedes the reform may have had the unintended consequence of nickel being taken elsewhere.
