Long steel imports to the US remain flat
Longs steel imports to the US have remained mostly flat throughout the first two months of the year, Kallanish learns from the US Department of Commerce.
According to Commerce's preliminary data, long steel imports to the US totalled 439,333 tonnes during February with monthly imports falling slightly, by 4,535t, from January's levels. Significant levels of imports coming from Mexico (100,210t), Algeria (94,946t), and Canada (79,730t).
