Low prices cause lower quarterly earnings says SDI
Indiana-based steel producer and metals recycler Steel Dynamics (SDI) said lower than expected steel flat prices were the main contributor to the company’s sequential earnings decline, Kallanish understands.
SDI reported net income of $579.78 million, and earnings of $577.19m, on total sales of $4.59 billion for Q3 2023.
