Magang to cut steel production by -30%
Eastern China’s Anhui province is cutting its steel and cement production following an air pollution control order effective midnight on 31 March, according to the local Economy & Information Commission.
Ten local industrial companies including Ma’anshan Iron & Steel (Magang) and Changjiang Iron & Steel will have their steel production restricted, with no removal date yet announced, Kallanish notes.
