Major rail project to benefit UK steel sector
The UK government confirmed on 11 February that the high-speed railway HS2 project will proceed. This means a potential boost to the whole of the UK steel sector and particularly for long products’ specialist British Steel, assuming that its sale to China’s Jingye, or someone else, goes ahead.
