Malaysia’s Eastern Steel installs hot strip mill
Malaysia's Eastern Steel has started the installation of its 1,450mm hot rolled strip mill as part of the second phase expansion project at Kemaman, Terengganu.
The new mill has a design capacity of 2.7 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. The main products include structural steel, weathering steel, patterned steel strip, boiler and pressure vessel steel, pipeline steel, high-strength steel for automobile structure, and marine steel.
