Chinas manufacturing shrinks in August
China’s official manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) finally slipped below 50 in August, marking a contraction in the sector. The Caixin manufacturing PMI, compiled by Markit, also confirmed its sixth straight month below 50, Kallanish notes.
