March HRC, plate imports increase
The American Iron and Steel Institute reported increases in March permits versus final imports for February for multiple steel products, including cut-to-length plate (up 60%) and hot rolled coil (up 37%), based on Steel Import Monitor and Analysis (SIMA) data, Kallanish learns.
Other increases include OCTG products, up 61%, and line pipe, up 39%.
