March US import licenses register large jump
Licenses to import steel into the US jumped during the month of March, Kallanish learns from an American Iron and Steel Institute analysis of government import data.
Import permit applications reached 3.078 million short tons in March. This was a 32% rise from February’s permit tons and a 31% increase from February’s final import count of 2.348m st.
