Italian crude steel output upticks in May
Crude steel production by Italian mills increased in May for the first time in 2019 after it had fallen over the January- April period according to local steelmakers' association Federacciai.
Last month crude steel production upticked by 1.1% year-on-year to 1.1 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. Over the first five months of 2019 however crude steel output declined, by -2% y-o-y to 10.4mt, the association confirms.
