Mechel continues to increase iron ore output
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel’s Korshunovsky mine increased iron ore production 15% on-year in January-September to 5 million tonnes, the company says.
The Korshunovskoye open pit mined 18% more ore over the period and the Rudnogorsky mine raised output by 13%.
Korshunovsky mine has continued to operate normally throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
