Mechel ore mine increases output after repair work
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel’s Korshunovsky mine increased iron ore production 14% on-month in January to 266,000 tonnes, the company says.
The increase in production in the open pit was achieved thanks to the ongoing programme for the repair of special equipment, which made it possible to reduce downtime when handling waste rock, the enterprise claims.
