Mechel increases wire output with new drawing machines

Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel has begun installation of the second stage of new drawing equipment at its Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant (BMK), the company tells Kallanish. In June, the first four mills were put into operation at the plant. In total, it plans to install 12 machines as part of the project to modernise steel wire and rope production.
