Mechel reduces output, coal sales amid overhauls
Mechel's steel and mineral output, as well as washed coking coal shipments fell last year, while sales volumes for some products increased, Kallanish notes.
Merchant washed coking coal sales fell 31% on-year to 2.7 million tonnes and by 8% on-quarter in the fourth quarter to 556,000t. The main reason was that Southern Kuzbass coal company reduced production.
