Mechel’s Chelyabinsk increases shipments for construction
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (ChMK), part of Mechel, increased in February sales of rebar, construction beams, carbon steel sheets and sections compared to the same period last year.
In general, shipments of rolled metal increased by 21% on-year to 260,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
Rebar sales increased by 23% and last month more than 77,000t were shipped. Construction beam sales increased by 36% to 35,000t.
