MIIT: First-quarter steel capacity utilisation hits 80%
China's steel capacity utilisation recovered to around 80% in the first quarter of 2018, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The closure of another 30 million tonnes/year of steel capacity could support utilisation rates, Kallanish notes.
