Mills introduce new US plate increases
A new push for higher plate base pricing has begun, though market sources are painting it as an attempt to shore up previous increases that failed to gain traction.
Nucor is raising its A36 prices, effective immediately, to a minimum of $1,090/short ton, ex-works. Likewise, SSAB has raised its prices by $70/st, with the second quarter order book full, according to a Midwest buyer.
