Mining equipment maker secures SSAB fossil-free steel supply

Swedish mining equipment maker Epiroc has signed a deal to procure fossil-free steel from SSAB. The Swedish steelmaker plans to begin commercial fossil-free steel production by 2026, in conjunction with its Hybrit “green” direct reduced iron-making joint venture with LKAB and Vattenfall.
