MMK Metalurji third-quarter performance improves after EAF restart
MMK's Turkey-based Metalurji steelworks began production of crude steel in the third quarter for the first time since 2012, when it halted operations of the hot-end. The firm produced 59,000 tonnes of crude steel in Q3 and intends to achieve nameplate capacity utilisation of around 2 million tonnes in 2022, Kallanish notes.
